COAHOMA — Nine Coahoma High School players and trainers were recognized for their work off the field and in the classroom by a state organization recently.

Bulldogs Grayson Glidewell, Seth Brooks, Colin Daniels, Bryden Fontana, Noah Dials, Brenner Gartman, and Kolt Redden as well as CHS trainers MaKynlee Overton and Tanner Atkins were named to the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) Football Academic All-State Team.

“This is a big honor and a testament to these kids taking care of their business in the classroom,” said Chris Joslin, CISD Athletic Director and head football coach. “These are excellent student leaders who work hard both on the field and in their academic studies, and it’s a well deserved honor for them to be recognized as among the top academic student athletes in the state.”

The THSCA bases its honor on the following areas: GPA, class rank, and ACT/SAT score.
