Stanton Buffaloes took a huge win over San Angelo TLCA for their Homecoming game on Friday. Final score was Stanton 68, San Angelo TLCA 0.


The Sonic Offensive Player of the Game was Roger Martinez. The Sonic Defensive Player of the Game was Ryllan Martinez, and the White Motor Company Big Hit of the Game went to Josh Hensley.


Forsan and Coahoma football games were cancelled. 


The Big Spring Steers lost to Lubbock High on Thursday with a final score of Big Spring 12, Lubbock High 48. The Sonic Offensive Player of the game was Isaiha Holloway. The Sonic Defensive Player of the Game was Toby Galaviz, and the Big Hit of the Game went to Elijah Darrow.


Over the weekend, BSHS Head Football Coach Cannon McWilliams announced that Varsity and Junior Varsity football players will be required to participate in virtual learning through Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020. There will be no practice or in-person school for these student-athletes. Coach McWilliams stated that the decision was made for the safety of their players and coaches. The situation will be re-evaluated on Wednesday and an update will be issued. It should also be noted that there will be no JV or Varsity football games this week. 9th grade and junior high football teams will still practice as usual and their games will contrite as scheduled. 




Coahoma Bulldogettes won their district opener against Reagan County on Saturday. Tomorrow, they’ll travel to Odessa to take on Compass Academy. Varsity Plays at 6 p.m.


Big Spring Lady Steers won their district game against Lubbock Estacado on Saturday, as well. Tomorrow, they’ll host the Snyder Lady Tigers at Steer Gym. Varsity plays at 6 p.m.
