BIG SPRING, TX -- The United Way of Big Spring and Howard County is gearing up for the upcoming campaign season to raise money for their 14 partner agencies, all of which directly assist those living in Howard County. This month the local non-profit organization will kick off its campaign with a two-day 4-man scramble golf tournament and a concert featuring Micky and The Motorcars with local favorite SPUR 327 as the opening band on Saturday, August 28th.

The two-day golf tournament will be held at the Comanche Trail Golf Course on August 28 - 29, 2021. Participation in the golf tournament includes food and drinks. The entry fee is $400 per team and there will be a 100 percent payout. Team sign-ups can be done by calling Comanche Trail Golf Course at 432-264-2366 or contacting Christian Fair, Executive Director for the local United Way, at 432-267-5201.

Concert tickets are on sale now for Micky and The Motorcars. Tickets are currently $15 each and can be purchased from any United Way board member, or by contacting the United Way Office at 432-267-5201. Be advised that tickets will increase to $20 per person on the day of the event.

On August 28th, gates at the Comanche Trail Amphitheater will open at 7 PM, and SPUR 327 will open the show at 8 PM, followed by Micky and The Motorcars.
