Big Spring City Council will meet in a regular session this evening, beginning at 5:30 PM in the City Council Chambers, located at 307 E. 4th St. in Big Spring.
During tonight’s City Manager’s Report, topics will include updates on large item pickup, e-waste, CARES, and the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. There will also be a report on the number of vaccinations given in Howard County and a report from Medical Advisor Dr. Steve Ahmed on COVID-19.
New Business items on tonight’s agenda include possible action to accept gifts to the Big Spring Fire Department from Pioneer Natural Resources and Gunsight Mountain, acknowledgement of receipt of the City Attorney’s written quarterly report on litigation and claims against the city with a possible discussion in executive session. There will also be consideration and possible action regarding a request for proposal for the sale of property for a residential development, located at the SW corner of Parkway and Willard Streets in Howard County, consisting of approximately 40 acres. Plus there will be consideration and possible action to delegate authority to the Mayor to negotiate, conclude, and execute a pipeline right of way agreement with Occidental Petroleum Corporation.
