The Big Spring City Council meeting scheduled for tonight has been postponed until Thursday, Oct. 29th, at 5:30 PM at the Council Chambers, located at 307 E. 4th in Big Spring. The workshop that was scheduled for 10 AM today has been cancelled.
Some of the items that will be discussed at the regular session are discussions on the viability of exploring a tax increment reinvestment zone (TIRZ) in the downtown area, and policies and procedures regarding Public Information Requests, and possible termination of the SAFER grant from FEMA. There will also be an emergency reading of a resolution declaring the official intent of the City of Big Spring to be reimbursed for certain capital expenditures from proceeds of a lease purchase agreement.
