In addition to the Advisory Committee established by House Bill 1079, the legislation established three Segment Committees including Segment 1 between New Mexico and Oklahoma borders and the Hale/Lubbock County line and Segment 2 between the Hale/Lubbock County line and the Sutton/Edwards County line. Segment 3, between Sutton/Edwards County line and the I-35/Juarez-Lincoln Bridge in Laredo, held its first meeting earlier this month and had a great public presence.

Segment 1 and 2 Committees are meeting next week, and the public is requested to attend these meetings in order to show support for the extension of I-27 along the Ports-to-Plains Corridor.

The Segment Committee will be meeting in Big Spring at Hotel Settles, located at 200 E. 3rd, on Monday, November 18, from 8 AM to noon. Again, the public is encouraged to attend the meeting, even if just for a portion of the time.
