When There's Smoke on the Mountain or Clouds in the Air, K-Best News Is There!

The winner of this year’s Halloween Wars was revealed yesterday with a pie to the face. The local Big Spring offices of Back in Motion and Ward Family Dental participated in a friendly competition to see who could collect the most cans of food that would be later donated to Isaiah 58, the food pantry in Big Spring.

A total of 1,595 cans were collected between the two offices. The Back in Motion office won the competition by collecting 933 cans, Ward Family Dental collected 662 cans and also donated toothbrushes and toothpastes. Both Dr. Jody Reid of Back in Motion and Dr. David Ward of Ward Family Dental received a pie in the face.

Nancy Stinson, President of Isaiah 58, told KBest News that it was exciting to see the amount of cans donated, noting that joint donation would feed 500 families.

Isaiah 58, located at 809 Scurry St. in Big Spring, is ran by donations only and all of their workers are volunteers. Anyone wanting to donate food or make monetary donations to Isaiah 58 are encouraged to contact them by calling their office at 432-263-4758 or call Nancy at 432-816-0590.
