2019 Angel Tree sign-ups began yesterday and will continue on Thursday, Nov. 7th until 7 PM at the Salvation Army in Big Spring, located at 811 W. 5th St.
This is a Christmas Assistance registration to help families with children from newborns to 13 years old. According to Lt. Ben Godwin with the Salvation Army of Big Spring, this program is for families who need help providing gifts for their kids this holiday season, senior citizens, and disabled residents.
Be advised you must bring the following information to complete your Christmas application:
- Photo identification – Current driver’s license or State/Country issued ID
- Proof of Guardianship with child’s date of birth – Birth Certificate, Birth facts from the hospital, legal documents
- Proof of residency – current ID or rental agreement or current household bill
- Proof of income – government assistance (TANF, Medicaid, Food Stamps), current paycheck stubs, or notarized letter from your employer to include their contact information and your current income
Be advised that no children are allowed at registration and all required documents are needed at the time of registration.
