When There's Smoke on the Mountain or Clouds in the Air, K-Best News Is There!

This morning, President of Snyder Cemetery Association Troy Botts, Sr. answered questions from an angry crowd about the recent clean-up at Snyder Cemetery that was done without notice.

According to Botts, the clean-up was ordered by the Board. He stated that workers had pointed out areas that they were unable to mow due to items in place, that's when he advised workers to remove items in the way to continue with maintenance of the cemetery.

Botts admitted to the crowd that he had done the clean-up without notice, but now wishes that he had placed a public notice in the local newspaper. Although Botts took several questions from the crowd, many people were still left without answers about whether the items would be replaced.

Snyder Cemetery is a privately-owned cemetery and is governed by a Board. At this point, Botts has not responded to requests for comments, however, a worker at Snyder Cemetery confirmed that the cleanup is currently on hold. He stated that the items that were picked up will be removed from the trash trailer they were placed in and will be carefully spread out on the ground so that family members can have a chance to reclaim them. Families can begin searching for their items beginning at 8 AM tomorrow, 08/20/19.
