Over the past year, Big Spring ISD Board of Trustees has been discussing the idea of creating a dressing facility /club house for the Big Spring Lady Steers Softball team because, currently, there is not a facility for the team to use at the softball fields. Last week, the Board of Trustees approved a motion to change that.

Big Spring ISD Superintendent Jay McWilliams advised that they Board had budgeted $300,000 to complete the project and had requested bids on the project. It was noted that there haven’t been many bids received and some have noted that they are too busy to take on the project. McWilliams noted that the Board decided to use dual classroom portable buildings from Kentwood that are not being used to help them accomplish their goal for the time being.
