When There's Smoke on the Mountain or Clouds in the Air, K-Best News Is There!

On Saturday morning, many people turned out to Family Faith Center in Big Spring, to join them for the event Just for Kicks, Cuts, and Hams. Kids, from pre-k through 12th grade, who attended the event were able to walk away with a brand new pair of shoes and socks, free haircuts, and free backpacks to first 100 students. In addition to that, families were also offered a ham dinner.

Desiree Mayes, single mother of 3, attended the event with her 14 year old son. She told KBest News that the event was a blessing and she was pleased to know that her family lived in a community that cared for others.

According to Holly Ludington, event coordinator, the event was able to collect approximately 700 pairs of shoes to distribute.
