The following is a statement released by the Big Spring Police Department, 05/07/18:
On the 11th of April 2018 a Burglary of a Habitation was reported to have occurred in the 600 block of Hillside. Stolen from the residence were several firearms to include a Browning M2HB .50 Caliber “machine gun” valued at $15,000.00 and a FN P90 5.7 X 28 caliber rifle valued at $1,800.00. The Big Spring Police Departments Criminal Investigations Division was assigned this investigation and has since arrested 4 juveniles who had burglarized this residence.
On the 4th of May 2018, Big Spring Police Department Detectives recovered the Browning M2HB .50 Caliber “machine gun” and the FN P90 5.7 X 28 caliber rifle. The Big Spring Police Department expects additional adult and juvenile arrests and charges to come as a result of this investigation. There is no further information available at this time as this is an ongoing criminal investigation.
