Earlier today, Johnson street was lined with family and friends of the late Billy, Wild Bill, Yanez .

Billy had been a member of ALSA car club in Big Spring before he became a founder of Santana Specialty Car Club in 1985. He later became a member of Low Image car club but after he was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 he returned to Santana Specialty with a dream of continuing his legacy through the organization. A chapter of Santana Specialty is currently established in Midland, where he had been residing when he passed.

ALSA, Low Image, and Santana Specialty have been noted as organizations that give back to their community, whether it be community-mined events or fundraising for families in need.

Billy was described by family and friends as having a big heart, always willing to help others, and very knowledgeable about cars. He participated in many car shows throughout the country and took pride in the vehicles that he and his brother John painted.

Billy recently passed away from stage 4 cancer. According to his widow, Ana Yanez, he had been advised that he would only have 3 to 4 more months to live after he was diagnosed, but Billy surpassed all expectations and went on to live another 2 years. He passed away at the age of 55 years old.
