104,793 King George fans showed up in true "Texas" fashion Saturday night as George Strait took the stage for the final time on his last tour, "The Cowboy Rides Away"....and I got to witness it! I have to tell you, this was one of the GREATEST memory making events for my wife and I! George played many of his greats including: "Check Yes or No", "Lovebug" - Featuring Vince Gill, "Fool Hearted Memory" - Featuring Jason Aldean, "Cowboys Like Us" - Featuring Eric Church, "Here for a Good Time" - Featuring Sheryl Crow, The Johnny Cash and June Carter Cover of "Jackson" - Featuring Martina McBride, "Let's Fall to Pieces Together" - Featuring Faith Hill, "Amarillo by Morning" - Featuring Alan Jackson, "How 'Bout Them Cowgirls" - Featuring Miranda Lambert, "Ocean Front Property" - Featuring Kenny Chesney, and even a duet with his son, Bubba, called "Arkansas Dave". Strait finished off the night with the whole crew of celebrities, including Asleep at the Wheel, by singing "All My Exes Live in Texas" and Johnny Cash's, "Folsom Prison". Then of course, brought down the house, and his 40 plus years of touring as the KING of Country music, with "The Cowboy Rides Away"! There were many tears, tons of cheers, and even after too many beers for some, an intense fight! But in the end the Cowboy Rode away with class just as he has for so many fans! Thank you George Strait, for being the class act and never changing...and for making country music country! It was a great time and all of our winners from K-Best had the time of their lives! Remember, "If you're not laughin' you're not livin!'"
