The 7th Lady Steers A Team lost a close game to Sweetwater in three sets (16-25, 25-23, 24-26). In the first set, Alandra Juarez and Kendall Brooks stood out on offense while Julianna Fraser played well on defense. In the second set, Jaila Groage  and Karina Limon made some great digs. The third set was filled with superb net play by Kendall Brooks, Cloe Viasana, and Brooklyn Hyatt. Abigail Davila, our libero, played outstandingly well on the back row. She made many key plays which led to several points. We are so proud of how well our Lady Steers played as a team and showed an extensive amount of progress.

The 7th Lady Steers B Team lost to Sweetwater in a well-played two sets (13-23, 27-29). In the first set Kylee Haynie stood out on both offense and defense scoring 5 Aces and a Kill for the team. In the second set Elena Seracho, Addison Rubio and Maddison Hamm led the team on offense with multiple Aces amongst them. The team fought gallantly in the second set and made a great comeback in defense! They continue to work as a team and showed a great amount of progress! 

The 8th Grade A Lady Steers defeated Sweetwater in two sets. They played a great game last night. Kortney Moore had killer serves. Jalen Sykes and Marlie Kennedy led out on offense. While Monica Gutierrez and Taylor Partlow led out of defense. A great team effort was given by all! We are looking forward to a great tournament this weekend! 

8th grade B girls got their first win against Sweetwater last night in 3 sets--(25-16) (19-25) (15-10). Kaydence Canales, J'onyce Evans, and Lora Otto had aces in their serves. And J'onyce Evans and Daniah Wrighter had kills at the net. All of the girls worked together on both defense and offense!
