The Big Spring all star teams were in action this weekend in first round action.


The Big 15-16 year olds opened up with a 6-2 win over Odessa Floyd Gwin. After a 2-2 tie in the first inning BS used a comedy of FG errors to go up 5-2 they added another run to win 6-2 at Steer Park on Sunday.


They will be back in action on Monday, 8 Steer Park.


The BS 14-year olds facing elimination after dropping a 16-15 first round game, roared back to beat Odessa West, 20-3 at Steer Park on Sunday.


The BS 13-year olds lost 10-0 in their first round game.


The BS, 11-12 year olds hammered Jim Parker 10-0 they hit three home runs in the game. They will be back in action Monday 6 p.m.. at Floyd Gwin Park.




The 10-11 BS year olds were beaten 19-3 in the first round. They will play North Ector Monday 6 p.m.. at Roy Anderson Field 2 here in Big Spring.


The 9-10 BS all stars lost  10-4  in first round action. They will be in an elimination game vs South Odessa on Monday, 6 p.m. at Midland Tower Field 2.
