The short film, CAPROCK, will have a free screening tomorrow night at 8 PM at Mezcal, 125 E. 3rd St. in Big Spring. The 15-minute film is about two sisters who embark on a road trip to explore the old stomping grounds of a serial killer.

Hollie Gonzales, screenplay co-writer for the film, stated that there were a few things that she wanted to incorporate.

"I just wanted to encapsulate the west Texas landscape, and some landmarks, and maybe throw in an old ghost story that we grew up with. I knew I wanted it to be, like, kind of a horror movie," said Gonzales.

This screening of CAPROCK will be an extended cut, and possibly a Q&A session. The free screening is open to ages 18 and up. After the screening, only ages 21 and up will be allowed to stay.

Producers for the film are James and Amanda Fite, Brandon J. Johnson, and Zach Campbell of the Big Spring area, and Hollie Gonzales of Snyder.
