When There's Smoke on the Mountain or Clouds in the Air, K-Best News Is There!

The 3rd annual Downtown Throwdown kicked off last night with a performance by Texas Pride, a local Big Spring band. They performed for a crowd at the Train Car Cigar Bar, 100 S. Main in Big Spring, for $1,000 and their chance to open for Country on Main Street, scheduled for September 27th.

Barney Dodd, Owner of BAD Events, told KBest News that since the Comanche Trail Amphitheater is under renovations right now, the concert has been moved to Main Street in downtown Big Spring between 1st and 2nd street.

There will be 2 headliners for the event this year, Cody Canada and the Departed, and No Justice. Dodd told KBest News that No Justice broke up a few years ago and are now doing a reunion tour.

Dodd also advised that there will be a silent auction that will raise money for Big Spring, Forsan, and Coahoma student scholarships. Plus, a portion of the ticket sales will also to fund these scholarships.
