Yesterday, the Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce held a "Thank You for your Investment" presentation for Hotel Settles.
The historic hotel was originally opened in 1930 and, at the time, it was the tallest building between El Paso and Ft. Worth with 15-stories, 150 rooms, a restaurant, and pharmacy. Years later, the hotel was unable to sustain operations and repairs to the building, so it closed its doors in 1982.
In 2006, G. Brint Ryan purchased the hotel and invested $30 million in its renovation to revitalize the aging landmark. Now the building has been impeccably restored, and now houses the Settles Grill and Pharmacy Bar.
Hotel Settles hosts live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays, and will have a special lunch and dinner for Father’s Day in the Settles Grill.
Najam Hasan, General Manager at Hotel Settles, went on to say that the hotel will have a special rate for this week’s graduation.
