The Prom Closet officially opened yesterday afternoon at Ryan Hall, located in the rear at 605 N. Main in Big Spring, for the 2019 Prom Season.

The purpose of the Prom Closet is to help high school-aged students be able to easily access prom attire like prom dresses or tuxes. All items are free, and no one is ever charged.

The Prom Closet is opened from 4 PM – 6 PM on Mondays through Prom Season. Anyone can stop in and check it out during those times, but an appointment can also be made by contacting Gabby Fair, head of the Prom Closet in Big Spring, at 432-816-0675.

The Prom Closet is also accepting donations of prom dresses, tuxes, as well as any other items that could make getting ready for prom a little less pricey, such as gift certificates for hair, nails, etc. Donations can be dropped off on during Prom Closet hours on Mondays at Ryan Hall or at the Crowned Bird, located at 406 E. Marcy Drive.
