The annual event Empty Bowls was held yesterday at the Dorothy Garrett Coliseum at the Howard College campus in Big Spring. This is the largest fundraiser that the United Way of Big Spring and Howard County does to help raise campaign funds that will be distributed to their 15 partnering agencies.
Christian Fair, Executive Director for the local organization, told KBest News that she was excited to see the turnout that the event had this year. She noted that they had approximately 200 people attend the event, with 35 soup chefs, and at least 40 different kinds of soups.
