McAuliffe told KBest News that they were in the area to showcase things to do in West Texas. He stated that they started their current adventure in Fredricksburg, moved through San Angelo, stopped in Big Spring, and plan to end in Pecos for their Rodeo that's going on this weekend.
When asked what brought the 2-man crew to The Train Car, McAuliffe stated that it was something that they ended up stumbling upon. He said that they were originally looking for a hotel room in Midland-Odessa, but, of course, with the Pecos Rodeo going on prices were crazy so we tried Big Spring and thought to check out what there is to do.
"I saw an article on [The Train Car] on CBS that they had done, and said, 'That's amazing! I've never seen a cigar shop inside of a train. Let's go check it out!' So, we checked it out," said McAuliffe.
After checking out the lounge, The Texas Bucket List crew decided that it would make a great story and got to work.
Camilla Strande, Co-Owner of the establishment, told KBest News that she thought it was awesome that they'll be featured on The Texas Bucket List.
"I was surprised because we didn't have any idea that they were coming, but I felt really honored," says Camilla. "It's really cool that people come through and want to interview us and think that The Train Car is a cool enough spot to be featured on something like that. It's pretty neat."
The Texas Bucket List airs every Saturday morning at 11 AM on CBS7(KOSA).
According to McAuliffe, the show is dedicated to everything you have to see, do, and experience in the Lone Star State and a few things every Texan should venture out to try before they "kick the bucket." Viewers can check out past episodes of featured places, which include The Wagon Wheel, another local business in Big Spring.
The episode that will feature The Train Car will air sometime this Fall during the 11th season of the show that premieres on September 8th, 2018.
