The Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Big Spring Ford this afternoon to celebrate their Grand Re-Opening!
David "Hondo" Howard, General Manager and Managing Partner of Big Spring Ford since February 2015, stated that he wanted the community to know that he and the company are here to stay, and they are making a commitment to the community and to their employees.
Even though the President and CEO, Rick Ford, who was in attendance for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, is from out of town, Hondo wanted to stress that Big Spring Ford is a local business. You can find Hondo in the store everyday, and most days at 8 AM.
"We're in the business of selling and servicing Fords," said Hondo. "I do have a huge used car operation, so there are several different kind of cars down there. Pretty much, anything you want I can get my hands on. We're in the business to be in business to be a part of the community."
During the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Hondo recognized the 4 Master Certified Diesel Technicians that they have at Big Spring Ford. According to Hondo, these men are just 4 of 516 Certified Master Techs in the State of Texas. He also went on to recognize his Service Director and Assistant Service Director, as well stating that Big Spring Ford is in the top 10 percent in the State of Texas in Service CSI.
Tomorrow the KBest Crew will be on location at Big Spring Ford, located at 500 W. 4th, to help them celebrate their Grand Re-Opening from 1-3 PM.
Then beginning at 6:30 PM there will be a catered dinner and Eddie Austin will be performing live music at Big Spring Ford.
"We're just really doing this for my employees, and their families, and our customers, and our vendors, and our friends, to just have an opportunity to get together," stated Hondo. "There's no real special occasion. We're using the remodel as an excuse, but I just wanted to do something for my employees and their families so we could spend a little time together."
